Founded in 1987, Outlook Video is an all volunteer group of Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, and Transgenders (GLBT) interested in all aspects of video production, with experience levels ranging from professional to amateur.

From 1990 to 1998, Outlook Video was an operating unit of the Jon Sims Center for the Arts. In 1998, the affiliation was switched to the Billy DeFrank Lesbian and Gay Community Center.

Produced and taped monthly by an all-volunteer staff in the studios of Mountain View Community Television, KMVT Channel 15, in Mountain View, California, Outlook Video cablecasts throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and Sacramento.

Committed to increasing the number of creative voices in the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community, members work on scripting, anchoring, creating field reports, studio production, directing, editing, camera work, and production.

The scope of topics and events covered by Outlook Video reflect the diversity of our community. Regular show segments of Outlook Video include reviews and clips of Gay/Lesbian/Transgender films, studio interviews highlighting Gays and Lesbians in the performing, literary, and visual arts, interviews with health professionals, commentaries on current issues, "mini" fashion shows and various field reports. Field report projects have included Gay Pride events throught California, Casto Street Fair, Folsom Street Fair, the Bay Area Regional Gay Rodeo, 1993 March on Washington, Gay Games IV, Stonewall 25 and Gay Pride festivals in other countries.
